JAMES ALLEN FRENCH GALLERIES
Seeking to challenge the viewer, these images offer a portrait of the natural world through the "mind’s eye". Often abstract, they highlight the emotions revealed through colors and patterns primarily as reflected in water, rather than the familiarity of defined objects.
Things unchanging in a changing world. In this gallery, I focus on a long-standing fascination with rocks. I am continually amazed by the endless variety of shapes and colors discovered in rock formations and how they present themselves in varied light. In a world of continual stress and unease, there is a certain calmness and stability sensed while centering on this subject. It’s a feeling I never tire of.
What better term to describe the magic of moving water. Perhaps no other subject in nature evokes the same sense of discovery and adventure than water in motion. Never satisfied, always seeking new experiences, life’s journey.
A celebration of the mighty tree. Arms reaching towards Heaven, as if acknowledging the reality of this temporal world. Seeking the promise to come. Standing in unity, the world as one.
As in life, insight into the "big picture" many times is revealed through a compilation of smaller experiences. Studies of the lesser known side of nature.
His glory as revealed by the wonder of light. Ever changing. Exhilarating. Glimpses from the "other side".
The endless variety and unmatched beauty of the flower. The fingerprint of His ultimate creative genius. A personal gift to the world.
These images focus on the beauty of ecosystems as a whole - the finished puzzle, perfectly fitted pieces placed by the hand of the Creator. Interrelated parts molded and shaped by light, wind and water. Marvel at the master plan.
Studies in light and design focusing on tonal range and texture sans "color".
Land meeting water - a sense of mystery and the possibility of adventure into the unknown. This experience invariably triggers within me a renewal of focus on the deeper meaning of life.
A "WIDER" view of the world.
Images from the reflective "season of rest". A design exploration of "negative space".
Journeying into the mysterious realm of the unconcious. Challenging the viewer to draw the image into focus and complete the picture. Pure color and design.
Images capturing the flowing patterns and movements of prairies, meadows and grasses.
Nature in motion.
A collection of very subtly digitally enhanced images concentrating on creative expression.
A collection of images partnered with inspirational scriptures. Seeking to fire the flame of the inner spiritual journey, these pieces aid the viewer in witnessing the clear reflections of the Creator as seen in His creation.
I've organized the series to allow the purchaser to "personalize" the piece by choosing the combination of image and scripture.
